Notes for Elijah Troth
According to his attestation private 1751 Elijah Troth left the 2nd Battalion, the 12th Regiment of Foot after serving for twenty one years and eighteen days in the army. His conduct was very good, with two good conduct badges awarded and he chose to serve in the infantry. He was tried by court martial once with a sentence of reduction in rank from corporal to private and ten days confinement. He served overseas for seven years and three months at the Cape of Good Hope, South Africa and for eight years and three months on Mauritius. Elijah Troth was finally discharged as a Chelsea Pensioner on the 29 Jan 18616948.
